📎 Explore the Project

If you’re curious to dive deeper:

The dashboard was designed to enable strategic decision-making by providing insights into:
  • Branch performance: Comparing sales across locations.

  • Top-selling products: Identifying bestsellers and profitable categories.

  • Daily trends: Revealing revenue patterns by day.

By supporting these dimensions, the tool empowers stakeholders to evaluate performance and refine their strategies.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Process

1. Data Cleaning and Preparation

To ensure data integrity, I focused on creating a clean, analysis-ready dataset. Key steps included:✅ Standardizing date formats for consistency.✅ Converting all currencies to a uniform format.✅ Identifying and resolving duplicates and blanks, filling missing values where appropriate.

This process was the foundation for uncovering meaningful insights.

2. Enriching the Data with Excel Functions

I enhanced the dataset by applying advanced Excel techniques:

  • VLOOKUP to match transactions to branches for detailed analysis.

  • IF statements to categorize sales by time of day (morning, afternoon, evening).

  • SUMIF functions to efficiently calculate daily totals and analyze trends.

These functions added new dimensions to the dataset, making it more insightful.

3. Exploring Business Questions

Using pivot tables, I answered 10 key questions, such as:📌 Which branch had the highest average sales?📌 What were the most profitable products and categories?📌 What trends emerged from day-by-day sales data?

To make the findings visually engaging, I applied conditional formatting, highlighting top-performing branches and products at a glance.

4. Structured Workflow

I organized the analysis into auxiliary pages for pivot tables and charts, ensuring seamless navigation between raw data and the final dashboard.

5. Dashboard Development

The highlight of the project was the creation of an interactive dashboard tailored for decision-makers, featuring:✨ Total sales and trends across all branches.✨ Branch-specific insights with filters for location-based data.✨ Product-level analysis, showcasing bestsellers and profitable categories.✨ Day-by-day trends, revealing peak sales and underperforming periods.

For example, the dashboard revealed April as the worst-performing month, enabling targeted marketing strategies to address this trend.

🌟 Key Skills and Techniques

This project showcased several essential skills:🔍 Data Cleaning: Ensuring a reliable dataset for analysis.📊 Excel Mastery: Using advanced functions like VLOOKUP, IF, and pivot tables.🎨 Visualization: Designing an intuitive dashboard to present actionable insights.📈 Business Analysis: Framing insights around stakeholder needs and uncovering trends.

🏆 Impact and Value

The dashboard became a powerful decision-making tool for stakeholders, demonstrating the potential of data-driven strategies to enhance business outcomes.
